Privacy Policy
Shirley Estate LLC ("Shirley Estate", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect on this website and how we use it.
What we collect
- Waitlist signups: your name (optional), email address, and whether you're interested in personal or wholesale coffee.
- Wholesale inquiries: your business name, contact name, city, estimated volume, email, phone, and message.
- Accounts: if you create an account, your name, email address, business name (for wholesale), your delivery address and phone, and your plan details such as quantity, grind, and delivery day. Passwords are stored encrypted by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
- Visit counts: which page was viewed, the website that referred you (if any), and whether the screen was phone-sized.
- Analytics and advertising cookies: our public website uses Google Analytics and the Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising pixel. These set cookies and collect standard analytics data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived, and they help us understand our audience and measure our advertising. This applies only to the public marketing pages; your signed-in account and our admin areas carry no advertising or analytics pixels.
Our own visit counting is first-party and anonymous: it records no IP address, no device fingerprint, and nothing that identifies you, and it is skipped entirely if your browser sends a Do Not Track signal. The Google and Meta tools described above are third-party services with their own cookies; you can limit them through your browser cookie settings, your device ad settings, and the opt-out and ad-preference controls that Google and Meta each provide.
How we use it
- To reply to your inquiry or notify you when ordering opens.
- To operate the business: preparing quotes, samples, and deliveries you request.
We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their marketing.
Who processes it
Form submissions are collected through Netlify, our website host. Accounts, delivery details and visit counts are stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Page fonts load from Google Fonts, which receives standard technical request data (such as your IP address) when the page loads. Website analytics and advertising measurement are provided by Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and by Meta Platforms (the Meta Pixel), each acting as its own controller of the data its cookies collect. When payments launch, they will be processed by Stripe; we will never see or store your card number.
Retention and your choices
We keep waitlist and inquiry details only as long as needed for the purposes above. To have your information corrected or deleted, email Alex.shirley@stoneleighcoffeeroasters.com and we will take care of it.
Terms of Use
By using this website you agree to the following:
- Informational content. Prices, availability, and offerings shown here may change before ordering opens. Nothing on this site is an offer until an order is confirmed.
- Accounts. Account features on this site are in a preview period. Until checkout formally launches, no orders are placed and no payments are collected through accounts.
- Our content. The Shirley Estate name, marks, text, and images on this site belong to Shirley Estate LLC and may not be reused without permission.
- No warranties. The site is provided as is. We do our best to keep it accurate and available but make no guarantees.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, USA.
Refunds & Shipping
All sales are final
We do not offer refunds. Coffee is a perishable food product that we roast to order, so once a bag has been roasted and shipped it cannot be resold and we are unable to return it to stock. By placing an order you accept that the purchase is final.
If something arrives wrong
A final-sale policy is not a licence for us to send you bad coffee. If your order arrives damaged in transit, is lost by the carrier, or is not what you ordered, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we will replace it at our expense. Photographs of damaged packaging help us settle claims with the carrier. Replacements, not refunds, are the remedy.
Monthly deliveries
Monthly plans can be skipped, paused, or cancelled at any time from your account, with no fee and no notice period. Cancelling stops all future deliveries and charges. An order that has already been roasted or shipped for the current cycle is final and is not refunded.
Wholesale accounts
Wholesale orders are made to order against your standing volume and are final once roasted. Invoices are due on Net-15 terms. Quality concerns on a delivered lot should be raised within 14 days and will be resolved by replacement or credit against your next delivery.
Shipping
We roast to order and ship within 48 hours of roasting, to addresses in the United States. Delivery times depend on the carrier and are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes on delivery to the carrier, but see above: if a carrier loses or damages your order, we will replace it. You are responsible for giving us a complete and accurate delivery address; orders returned as undeliverable because of an incorrect address are not refunded, though we will happily reship at your cost.
